Ooookay... Valentine's Day.

Now I hate to be predictable here, but I hate Valentine's Day, and I'm gonna keep hating it until someone gives me a really good reason to like it.

A year ago today my boyfriend of years and I broke up, and we're just starting to get our lives together after all this time. Except this week I had a very very shit setback that put me right back where I was a year ago.

So here I am. Predictably bitter. But let's face it... no one's ever done anything for me on V-Day, AND all of the really nasty stuff that's happened in my life (boy stuff) has always revolved around the month of February. So not only does nothing special happen, but I kinda associate this time with stomach-wrenching, nausea-inducing depression.

Now, I'm willing to keep an open mind towards V-Day. I mean, I'm all for any holiday that isn't religous. And here's one with potential. But it's going to take that special someone doing something special (or at least not hurting me) for me to rethink all this hooey.

I mean, I may be bitter about love and all that crap, but deep down, I crave some attention in that department. As much as I hate to admit it.

And that's my rant. So be it. That is the carnage I call my life.
