"A Bombshell is Vulnerable:
While some women contrive to cover their hearts, the Bombshell reveals her feelings without calculating the consequences, regardless of the risk. She is so in tune with her emotions that she allows them to surface in a heartbeat. However, she is so enduring that most people are more inclined to rescue her than to do her harm. This is not southern belle helplessness she is affecting; she is expressing a genuine need to be loved. Her posture is always erect, her shoulders relaxed so that her chest is thrust forward, thus exposing her heart."
-Lauren Stover "The Bombshell Manual of Style"
I have successfully pushed out of my head any thoughts regarding the badness of this week. Instead, I've been concentrating on the things that I just have to get done. Three cheers for avoidance and denial!
I had my first shift as coat-check girl at the bar, and I have just one question. Why is it that people tipped me more at the bar tonight (as I skillfully hung up their coats) than I ever get tipped piercing people (as I skillfully and safely pierce them without adverse reactions, transmission of disease and/or bacteria, and in a calm, relaxed manner.) Does this seem counterintuitive to anyone else?
