Okay so I will be getting wireless soon which will mean I can use my handy dandy netbook upstairs instead of this horrid once stolen labtop (not by me) that resides in my dank unfinished basement. For some reason, (most likely because its out of date and has bad karma all over it) it wont let me properly use this site or upload photos. Little update about the recent on goings of my life: I recently got back from Guelph, had a smashing time at the Lion Safari and had some surprisingly awesome goat curry for the first time ever. Also before we left, we made are pig into pork goods, which was a tearful experience. I was a vegetarian for many years and only recently began eating meat again, but I thought that since my household supports the industry, the most resposible thing we could do was raise a pig ourselves to truley understand what it means to consume an animal. It was pretty rough to be directly involved in the death of a being that knows you, I always stood by my passivist code of ethics so this was very new to me. A few people asked me if I was afraid of telling my quite young children, River and Lavender, that the pig was going to be killed. (Ironically enough, the majority of people who couldn't beleive that I was was capable of such a thing are individuals who buy factory farm items from the grocery store) I replied that I intend, wether it be through information or experience, that my children will have a respect for the meat that they consume because they will have a meaningful understanding of the life and spirit of the animal involved. Anyways thats what I've been upto!

That's a very powerful education for your kids.
As consumers we are so outside of what it takes to grow or sustain food.
I admire your courage. I do eat meat but I know for a fact, I couldn't kill something I raised. I'm an awfully sensitive (to a fault) person. I cry when I see gophers get run over!
However, I totally believe that we should be respecting the animals and plants we consume.
