So I'm pretty sure most other countries don't celebrate it but today is Remembrance Day, the day we take a few moments to remember the soldiers who died during WWI and recently they've tossed WWII and Iraq into the mix. Now personally I don't know any specific soldiers to remember and at the same time I have to admit I'm against war(not that it's rare to find a person against war) but I do think that a person's or people's deaths should not be in vain. So take a moment or a few to pause and remember what you may know about the war and give thanks to those who risked their lives and to the many who gave theirs.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
Lt.-Col. John McCrae (1872 - 1918)

Here, we call it Veteran's Day.

I was kind of on the same wavelength as your photographer. I did wonder "Should Eve be smiling?" I am happy to hear that there will be more smiles and rear views in the next set. I look forward to it.

I think many Hopefuls do not want criticism because it can get very harsh. Some people seem to be hear simply to insult Hopefuls. Even in the Hopeful Group, it can get brutal, though the people there are actually trying to be helpful. Someone just posting "You are not SG material," or, in response to a PG 13 set, "This is a nude site, get the fuck out" are not being helpful.

my father was in WWII, thank you for remembering, too many people these days don't realize that these events touch a lot of people, myself included.
