School is stupid. Well this one in particular. I applied to several programs at several schools for January and today I receive this letter that says I have a mandatory orientation sessions in Toronto next Tuesday. I work every Tuesday. I work 6am to 9pm every Tuesday with rarely an exception. there is no way I could go to Toronto on a Tuesday and especially not on 1 week notice. Clearly they are morons. So now I have to call them tomorrow and use up my long distance minutes most likely on hold for too long while they set it up for another Tuesday. oh and get this. I applied to 2 programs at this school. I'm actually expected to be at 2 mandatory orientation sessions at the exact same time in 2 different rooms. I find it entertaining that I'm supposed to prove to society that I have a brain by attending an institution that clearly doesn't. And I have to set up interviews at 2 other schools and set up a portfolio for one of them. And I can't use any of the pieces from my last portfolio either. They request different and very specific pieces so I need to start it from scratch. And the third school I need to set it up with is because they want to verify that i know English. apparently receiving 99% isn't enough. True story I have the photocopy of the document to prove it. they have the original because they can't have anything less than the best.
