Finally got a house security system set up. We've got a few more things to do, like flood lights on the side of our house that faces the alleyway, but we've got everything wired and such with ADT to keep the place safer. Yeah! Neo and I can leave the house at the same time! We've been taking turns staying home so the house was never empty, and--well, let's just say I don't do well under house arrest. ;-) Poor Neo has had to put up with one cranky Luky.
Back to work/school next Monday. I teach a lot of night classes which only meet once a week, so I'm on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday work schedule this semester with my earliest class starting at 2 in the afternoon Tue and Thur. Neo and I are both night owls, and I've taught on this schedule for 20 years now. Works for me! I don't get home until 11:30 at night, but, hey--I never deal with rush hour. Teaching four creative writing classes. Soon, you'll see me on here once a month or so because I'll be buried under student papers. I get to teach the fun classes, though.
And, by the way, lot's of friends have asked why I haven't done a geezer photo set, and, aside from the fact that my butt is bigger than it looks in that thumbnail photo of my face up there, the teaching is the other reason. My students are old enough to be on this site. One nekkid or even suggestive photo of me on here, and it could be bye bye job. Sigh.
I need the money more than I need the nekkidness.
Hope everyone's got some decent weekend plans. Mostly, I want a bottle of chardonnay chilling and ready to go. And I'd like to have Neo chillin' and ready to go, too.....
