I was thinking SG needs to start a toy drive for the kids of SG members. It could be through a wishlist on Amazon.com. The kids would need to not know they were getting a toy from SG members, so that a) they could thank their parents, and b) in case noone actually chooses to mail that toy. The comment for each toy could be the name of a SG member, so people also know who they are helping out.
I would suggest a toy limit of $40, and a mediator such as s5 and Olivia, but of course I can't volunteer them and I think they're going to NZ. The list could be mediated by someone associated with SG, and they would not even see money, only the gifts. I'd be willing to donate $40 towards re-shipping the items, unless someone can think of a better way. I experimented with adding multiple shipping addresses to amazon, but you can only have one active.
I work until 7am so you will not see a response from me anytime soon. If noone wants to get involved officially, I can lead it unoffically. There are those of you who can't help out since you are the ones with the kids, as well, haha. I can think of no other class of people who deserve a happy holiday in that we can see the outcome straight away.
