I remember Jake and Oliver's....oh yeah. Even the place that followed it, The Wichita, kept the the beer/taps flowing. Half price happy hours and a 6 dollar steak dinner. Oh yeah! Mucho nice...way cool.
A few of us went out one day during happy hour, and this one girl wanted to go to Coyote Ugly 'just because'. I mean, its 6pm...there's no one in there (including hot ladies working the bar) and they have three things on tap. Subsequently, said tap lines havent been cleaned, giving all three beers a very crappy taste. Add to that, serving us in plastic cups. Oi vey....thankfully, I convinced the kids to head over to St. Jacks. they had Victory's Golden Monkey on tap. Niiiice.
Moved a friend from NM to Boulder a few years back. Nice place...had fun. Drank a lot of Fat Tire. Tasty little beverage, I must say.
Just make sure you make it to the Dogfish Head Brewpub...they have a brewery on-site, not to mention a distillery. some BAD ASS rum....
