I have also decided that getting dreads would be a good thing. My inspiration for this decision is Eevie, Waikiki, and this photo:
Someone recently asked why we always try to figure out who we are, and not just live our lives? At the time I had a blog stating that I want to be original... Figured out pretty quickly that I was doing the opposite by stating this. The ones who have to try usually only assimulate information from everyone else in order to gain acceptance, andI could see right through my approach to being 'original' and had to erase that statment from my mind.
I'm finally starting to understand what it really means to let go. Stop trying to put a PLAN in place of what you are suppose to be. We don't live in that predetermined era anymore, so why subject yourself to it?
That's what I'm currently saying to myself.
There's a slight insecurity that I haven't let go of from childhood yet, and that's my need to please others and be accepted. Always struggling with the feeling that I NEVER belonged. Its a scary thing to keep you pushing forward. I know this has fueled most of the decisions that I've made up until now, and I regret that I am just catching this now. I'm going to toss away my so-called plan, and jump into life for real. do things for myself, and with 100% conviction, from now on. The only way I will move on up to becoming a better person....
I just need to let go. Who care's that someone may not like me being naked online. That's their problem, not mine!
Ohh and might I just add that
my boyfriend is the most amazing human being ever!
The headphones that I broke on New years eve, he tried to fix. When they couldn't be fixed he went out and got me new ones.
Something really small, but dear to my heart!
I think in part, he's teaching me how to let go.
... well ain't that something!
This is my new motto: (... and I don't care what you think of it)
