Here’s a Latin joke I got from Sandi Toksvig today:
Cicero was speaking in the Senate. One senator arrived very late, and slipped into his place.
He asked the senator next to him “What’s Cicero talking about today?”
“I don’t know.” the senator replied “He hasn’t got to the verb yet”.
