Since you're a Stephen King fan, I'll recommend The Passage by Justin Cronin, it was one of King's favorite books in 2010.

I haven't decided about Halloween yet. Agreed, I liked the fact that Roland fell in love, but the books suffered for King's emotional immaturity.

RIght now I am reading: "Hasta Nunca, Mi Amor" by Massimo Carllito and "Yo a Este lo Ablando Hablando" by Santiago Tavella.
but that's just cuz I am on a Spanish kick right now. In English, I most recently read:
"God is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything" by Christopher Hitchens
"Grifftopia" by Matt Taibi
"How to Teach Physics to Your Dog" by Chad Orzel
"The Great Derangement" by Matt Taibbi
"Breaking the Spell" by Daniel Dennet
"The Greatest Show on Earth" by Richard Dawkins
"The Moral Landscape: How Science Can Determine Human Values" by Sam Harris
And finally, "The Grand Design" by Stephen Hawking.
And don't think that I read entirely too much, but I just came off of deployment, so I had a bit of time to catch up on a little reading. No big deal. I think I read more in the last year than I read in the rest of my entire life combined... Bygones.
