Today should be Friday. Is this some cosmic joke? The work week that never ends.The good news is I don't have to wake up at 4 to work out, the bad news is we are going after work when it will be 100 degrees to go run on the beach across the soft sand.
Yesterday I went to lunch with two male friends of mine. The way they talked about women disturbed me. They see me as one of the guys. The things they said were so vulgar. Do all men think this way? Does everything relate to sex and how good a women is at the different aspects of it, or what she is willing to do. Maybe I spent to much time reading books instead of living life but I don't want anyone to ever judge me the way they were judging women. It makes me sick. I know it isn't just men, some women are the same way.

But mostly its just men who are disrespectful, chauvinist pigs, who probably watch too much porn, or subscribe to too much pop culture where women are objectified, and treated with disrespect. Unfortunately, I think your comment illustrates a lot of what is problematic of our current culture. These men often become business men who do the same thing in their jobs - they travel, cheat on their wives, and fly along on their self-centered, narcissistic 'magic' carpet, until they realize there's a lot more to life than money.
These 'boys' probably don't read any books, watch meaningful TV programs, or listen to interesting, thought provoking radio shows or think about life (or the world) beyond their little fragile bubble.
Fear not, you don't spend too much time reading, although you should get out and live life outside too - just don't hang out with guys like this. Remember, you can pick your friends.
