It's good to be home!
Wyoming is the same as I remembered. My exbf's mom is not, however. She is getting quite frail. It seems impossible that she can survive many more WY winters, but she does not want to leave. I can't blame her, for the most part. It is almost obscene how beautiful the mountains are. The air is so pure it's actually sweet! Humidity simply does not exist there. And of course I am a sucker for the wildlife...
I could go on and on. Wyoming is definitely up there among my favorite places...
I was gone for six days but it feels like an eternity. My cat seems older, which makes me very sad...
I feel the blues creeping in. Of course it doesn't help to come home to a flooded city, two hours late and have to get up early to work with my boss... And the apt is a mess and there's no food... *sigh*

Added 11:15 pm:
So I just got some incredibly sad news: The father of one of my best friends died tonight at 9:30 pm, after an eight month battle with pancreatic cancer. My heart aches for him. Although my friend could not be there for his father's final moments, he unselfishly gave up three weeks of his own routine recently, traveling almost 500 miles and leaving his own business, his girlfriend and feline menagerie to fend for themselves, in order to spend time with (and help care for) his father. It meant more to his dad than ANY other gesture EVER could...
Here's to Kevin. You are a good son to the end.
Here's to Pete. May you rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about Kev's dad...that's so sad. If you speak to him, let him know that if there is anything I can do to help out here, he should feel free to ask. I'll do whatever I can.
