I am still cogitating about A Home at the End of the World (based on a Michael Cunningham novel), the indie film I saw last night with my gay roommates, who wanted to see it b/c of the Colin Farrell penis controversy. We decided that the book must be really good so now we have started our own little book group. Guess what our first selection is. We are going to invite Colin Farrell to our discussion at the end of the month.

This morning, or technically this afternoon, I had some caffeine so now I can't sleep. After reading about seared tuna (thanks, dharmabox) I decided I was hungry. Fortunately, we had turkey in the fridge so now I am waiting for the tryptophan to kick in.

Troy came home from work tonight with a story about the "scary powers of cats." Early this morning our buzzer rang, persistently. He got up to see who it was but when he called down on the phone, no one replied. Just silence. Then it rang again. Silence again. So he opened the door and my cat was sitting there in the hallway. She meowed sweetly to him and slipped back inside. He is convinced that somewhow she snuck out in the middle of the night (we all recall seeing her just before bedtime) and then used her "powers" to ring the buzzer this morning to get back in.

Of course I know that she rang the buzzer to get his ass out of bed. She could've used her powers to get back in by herself.
