Some comments...

1- There was a wicked T-storm today, the best part was we were right on the cusp so the sun was shining and of course there was a stunning rainbow...

2- A strange thing happened as I was sneaking a smoke on my deck today. My two cats were keeping me company, and a pair of mockingbirds swooped in and tried to ATTACK them! they were quickly joined by a small flock of sparrows, it was like something out of the Birds. Feathers and fur, flying everywhere... (not really, but it COULD have come to that!)

3- So I have been thinking about the big fish in a small pond, small fish in a big pond analogy lately. I met a young man on Tuesday who is considering moving to NYC. Fresh out of college, he's afraid the pond is way too big for him... but he is tempted by it nonetheless.

I have friends who are so into being a big fish in their little pond, they won't/can't venture out to a bigger pond, even if they would probably be much better off there. In my mind, it's not the size of the fish or the pond that matters. The way I see it, it's the colors of the fish, the characteristics that make it unique and lovely; and the opportunities in the pond, those factors that give us potential to grow, that make all the difference...

Anyway, as someone who is about to live in a VERY big pond, I'm not too concerned about growing big, but rather thriving and keeping my colors shiny and maybe, just maybe, brighten them a bit...

Sounds like you have the right mindset to begin your adventure. Its always thrilling to start out brand new and explore the boundaries, forcing your own to grow. to be cliche : the jouirny truly is the destination smile

I moved from a pool to a pond and so far so good (from Roanoke,VA to Charlotte,NC) I know it's not a lake. I'm very content right now & I love Charlotte!
