Is anyone else getting really irritated having hear about the Superbowl half time show every... single... day....? I was listening to Howard Stern on the way into work and they were talking about it. I'm so sick of it. It isn't a big deal, but all these conservative fucks are already censoring the hell out of radio because of it. WTF? What's next...???? Between that and Bush's whole attempt to amend the Constitution to stop gay marriages, I'm seriously thinking on getting the fuck out of the States. Why are our priorities so fucked up? Feed the hungry, give us better/cheaper/free healthcare, clean up the crime areas. Don't start forcing conservative ideas down my throat. If you don't like the program, CHANGE THE FUCKING CHANNEL. More importantly, if 2 people who love each other want to get married, LET THEM! They should be allowed to have the wedding of their dreams.
Anyway, done with my little venting session....
I started working at some kind of solo project, and I have 2 songs just about completed so far since deciding to attempt this little project a week or so ago. It's been cool so far because I don't have to worry about fitting the style of music to the style the band wants to play. I can do whatever I want. Once I get a few more songs written, I'm going to talk to a few people and see if they'll help me out in the studio and I'll throw it all together. Should be fun. Everything from heavy stuff, to very experimental stuff.
I'm still struggling with my current band. We get nothing but props for our demo, but still haven't found a singer. Not to mention, there just isn't a good relationship with the whole band anymore. Everyone has different priorities and goals. I'm thinking it isn't going to last much longer, and I'll probably be the first one to step out of it. If only to maintain friendships. We are all getting frustrated at not playing out, and it's starting to wear on us. So, if anyone knows anyone who needs a guitarist, let me know!
We watched Dickie Roberts last night. That movie was hilarious. I heard it wasn't that good, but we loved it! Check it out if you like that style of humor.
Still listening to Radiohead's OK Computer a ton. What a cool album.
Other than that, not a whole hell of a lot to say. If I don't get my leg tattooed this weekend, I'll probably pierce my septum. At least I can hide it for my job. Pretty geeked about that!
Anyone watch Crank Yankers last night and see the health club skit with the Henry Rollins muppet in the background. FUCKING FUNNY!!
