I make up the taoist thoughts, but they come from my experiance and learning as a taoist. Lots of it comes from stuff I learned taking qi gong, the rest comes from having read a whole lot of taoist texts. None of the philosophy is mine origionally - all praise is due the masters, including Lao Tzu.
If you are interested, pick up the Tao Te Ching. If you want a super cool basic primer that will totally give you an excellent overview, try Barefoot Doctor's Guide to the Tao - it gets my highest recomendation.
