Today's topic: What are some green flags in a relationship?
✔️ Lucky for me I found my person who checks all my boxes (nearly 7 years ago!) ✔️
💚 Respectful of my own agency over myself, my body, and my life. Control freaks, boundary pushers, "I know what you need better than you do" types, and body shamers need not apply.
💚 Open + Honest + Communicative.
💚 Has their own thing going on, has dreams, ambition, hobbies and goals! It's okay to be in a rut sometimes but forward direction towards something at least.
💚 Childfree. I have no desire to have or raise children and my partner needs to be 100% on the same page on that or it's a no go.
💚 MUST LOVE CATS. 💚
I think my list is reasonable and these are definitely qualities I appreciate in my partner. There's probably a bunch more rattling around in the back of my mind but I've been out of the dating game for a while now so I'm struggling to think of anything else that would make me go "yeah this could work, let's do this thing."
Green means go! Zoom-zoom! Looking forward to another 7 years for sure. I'm so damn lucky.
