Days turn into weeks, months, and years that fade away.

Time fly's by as fast as tree's on the highway..

Always taking me somewhere new,

But for some reason I never could forget about you.

I'm growing used to your absence though, a little more each day.

And the last of my hope seems to slip away..

Like these tears that I cry,

I've finally come to realize that it was really goodbye.

So now I'm lost like a leaf in the wind,

Letting me take me where ever this road turns or bends.

Always searching for some beautiful, to mend these wounds,

Something to heal this heart that you've ruined.

Yes something to fill this void you've created,

Just something to fix this girl, you've alienated.

I feel like I lost myself inside you somewhere,

You took my inspiration and gave me your despair.

But it's ok there's so much left in these hands..

More than you could ever destroy, let alone commence to understand
