You have to put the work in.
I keep telling my self 'Just get your fucking book written' and it must work becasue now I have two behind me.
Like many first novels, Boxrunner was nearly a decade in the making - full of ideas that gestated and evolved over time. When it came to the sequel, Proteus Rising, it was a different matter. The framework was down and I had to prove that the first book hadn't outfaced me - that it wasn't a project so big, I couldn't repeat it.
I didn't repeat it...
The second book was bigger, better and quicker. I wrote 160k words in 55 weeks on top of parenting and having a real job that pays the bills. Yes... you have to put the work in.
I'm a long way from where I want to be but the only person that can change that is me. This only a step but if I keep going...
That being said, 2023 will be a lot of editing. 🤦😉
But that also means your dreams are out there... Go get 'em. 🚀🚀
