Oh man, this is gunna be a rant... if ive spent significant time bitching to you in the last 24 hours, youve probably already heard it, so just leave some love. This weekend I went to NYC. Sunday night we stayed upstate in westchester county with my moms HS friend. That was nice enough, and there daughter is the most model-esque beautiful girl Ive ever seen in my life... doesn't hurt.

Monday I was SUPPOSED to go to the US Open where we had box seats (this is where the rant really begins). We leave at 9:30 from westchester, its about an hour to queens and the tennis starts at 11:00... should be no problem. We get there and its like no one planned for the event AT ALL. I follow "parking ahead" signs in fucking uturns for 45 minutes, sitting in gridlocked traffic with all of the other confused people milling around, pulling uturns on streets in the middle of the city.. it was BAD! We get to this point where ALL OF THE SUDDEN I'm supposed to be in the other lane without any warning. My moms friend shows this dickhead cop directing traffic her FBI badge and he let her in. He then forces me to go straight into total oblivion where i will instantly be long in queens. After 45 minutes in traffic, I'm not in the mood.. so i call him a fucking asshole and give him the finger. He FLIPS OUT. Tries to smash his radio through my rear window (fails) makes me get out of the car and put my hands on the hood (and for WHAT?) makes physical threats at me and uses all SORTS of words unbecoming of an officer. Anyway, after I dealt with dickwad, I still had to go straight, and still got hopelessly lost in queens. Eventually gave up on getting back to the open and asked a number of people who didnt speak english how the FUCK i could get out of that shithole city.. it was terrible. So that was my day in NYC.

Argh, still steaming about that. Today was my first day of class. It was... interesting. My solid state physics class has ZERO girls in it.. count em, zero. And its not that i want to meet girls in my solid state physics class, thats just not a good sign. The test are take home but closed book.. which is a little weird too, not sure how happy i am about that. It seems like i can either be honest and at a disadvantage to the people who cheat, or dishonest and be a cheater myself, but thats life i guess. My solid state devices class the prof basically told me to drop because i havent had the prereqs and dont really know much about MOSFETs or BJTs. I'm not going to do it though, I know myself, I can learn, thats what im in school to do anyway. My vietnam class should be awesome. Theres about 2000 pages of reading for the semester (which to ME is a lot) but its stuff i wanna read, so i hope i keep up with it. I think even though its the fewest classes Ive ever had it might be one of my most demanding semesters.. which is a good thing I think. Anyway, thats all the ranting for now. smile

Well it is the weekend, how did classes go? I really could not get on SG all week. My classes are pretty good, but I am really looking forward to my Food Microbiology class. There is a lab that coencides with the lecture that we are going to be harvesting microorganisms. I am pretty excited about that, I am a pretty big nerd when it comes to biology stuff. Have a good weekend. smile

My bf said that Penn State is in the same boat as A&M, they are both power house schools who are playing like garbage. A&M has so much potential but they have sucked for the past 5 or 6 years. I watched a little bit of the game on Thursday but they really played horrible.

I am a huge sports fan, football, basketball, and sometimes I get into baseball, only when the Astros are doing good. I am really excited about football this year and our fantasy team. I love to go see the Texans play but other that that I really don't cheer for one team, I just root for our fantasy players on all the teams. The Eagles are supposed to do pretty well this year with TO and McNabb. Good luck with classes.
