I suck at updating, and y'all suck at commenting. 5 comments in a WEEK. Im hurt.

Anyways, I'm still busy with work. Going to europe on saturday, yaysmile Im sick of flying though, too much flying this year, boo.

I just ordered my new laptop. I almost decided to get a mac but I love IBM, and theyre so good on the phone. I called with questions about it three times and everytime the guy on the phone talked me out of the more expensive options because the cheaper one was in my best interest. Thats impressive!

I wish i was going to the burlesque show this thursday, maybe i should. So many people in philly this weekend...

I understand. People come to grad school with all sorts of different backgrounds. My cluster at school contains Neurobiology as well, so we get people with psych degrees coming in as well. I can't imagine a situation in which someone who is good in physics couldn't catch up to the biology. I know there's a lot of people interested in lipid dynamics in membranes. That's a big part of biophysics right now. Perhaps the Biophysical Society's website would have some information on general research areas. Specifically, you can look at the various subgroups within the society to see what broad areas of concern there are. Also, if you have access to Biophysical Journal online or elsewhere you could read through that to see what's going on. Finally, if you're interested in graduate study, just start checking out departmental websites at various universities to see what the faculty research interests are.
