I am so excited to finally participate in some blog homework that @missy and @rambo have provided us!
I have only been an SG Since November but a lot has happened since then. I shot many sets with wonderful women that I can now call my friends. @brooklyn @alissa @sunshine. I have gained many close friendships (@circa, @sirius_, @palette, @pesky, @yugen, @bixton, @marceline, @neptune, etc) I have met women that I've admired and looked up to for years (@bully, @damsel, @arwen) And although a good amount of these girls are across the country or many states away I've crated amazing bonds that will cary on for a life time. And I'm super excited to share this with all of you!
In a previous blog found here I talked about the push I got to follow my dream of being an SG. @radeo and @porphyria definitely helped with that one.
The photo of the left is from the day where I met SG's for the first time after admiring them for SO long! And the photo's to the right (quite silly ones actually haha) are from moments I shared with these girls! If you told me one day that I would create bonds with incredible girls like this.. I may have never believed you. but here I am having cake licked off my chest by @porphyria and making silly little owl eyes with @radeo! It's really incredible to share moments like this with two of the people who encouraged me and to meet new friends!
One of my dearest friends @Circa is in my state as well. It's incredible to think that we are traveling out of the country together this spring.. because of SG! I have made so many amazing friends and I see these friendships lasting a life time!
We are allowed to be as creative as we'd like with our sets. We can do cosplay sets, multi's and so on and so forth. I like that about SG. I love that us girls get to choose what we want to show members. We can bring a piece of ourselves into our photos and that is just so lovely to me. I love that we are all such bad ass diverse ladies! I love that there are over 2,500 of us! It's so great to always see new work from my favorite girls. It's also amazing to have so much room to be creative with sets!
I'd like to add that my self esteem has improved a lot. I was actually quite shy about my body and refused to let anyone see me naked! hehe. I would hide while changing in front of my boyfriend and in the locker room .-. I never thought I would become a nude model.. but here I am! SuicideGirls has definitely helped me with that. After countless years of hating myself I stand here now, proud and comfortable with myself. I'm giving a big fuck you to those people who are offended by the female body. I am happy in my own skin.
SuicideGirls is also an AMAZING community. I absolutely can not stress that enough. I have so much fun on the groups, chatting with members and with this entire site. I feel like this is home. Somewhere I can be my self and fit in. And I know many other people would agree with me here.
In other news I have been invited to multiple shootfest. I attended SG does Disney in February and had the time of my life. This spring I will be heading to Portugal and this Summer I am hoping to head to LA again.. Before SG I had only been on a plane ONCE. I have dreamt of traveling all my life and I have never committed to making that step.. SG has provided me and countless other girls with amazing opportunities.. opportunities I may have never reached for if it wasn't for this site!
I would also like to add we have some of the best staff around! Constantly making sure the site works and the girls are happy. I am so thankful to have met @missy and @sean and for this amazing opportunity.
I know that I am only about 5 months in but this has been my journey for 3 years. I am so happy to be where I am. To be where I have dreamed.
My life has changed forever.
