I thought it was an appropriate time to blog about this since my set is coming out this Saturday.. Last night I watched an older SG movie "guide to living" ... The pillow fight sequence reminded me about this blog that I wanted to make since @radeo had the biggest impact on me doing SG.
I've had a couple of people make rude comments about what I'm doing or ask why I want to become an SG. But the truth is I do it for me.
Suicidegirls has been a big part of my life for years now. I remember when I was 17.. I was blogging and came across this photo of Radeo.
I remember being totally in awe and swooning over her. But that was it. I didn't know anything about her or SG. A few months later I overheard a friend talking about the website. I had no idea that there was an entire website dedicated to girls like Radeo. (mainly because I was underage :p) Beautiful, bad ass chicks. Girls that society deemed "weird" or "fucked up". Once my friend explained the website to me I knew I wanted to not only become a member but I was interested in this website for the modeling aspect as well. I knew I had to try.

*** CONTINUING MY STORY**
Basically for years I was a big fan of Radeo.. eventually that lead me to finding out about more SG's like @porphyria, @bully and @sash .. so on and so forth (I have too many favorites!) In 2012 I attened a convention in Philly called 'Wizard World' I was stoked. My first convention, with my best friend & my family. (we got in for free because my moms boyfriend's brother did xmen and transformers yada yadaaaa) There were SO many things going on that I almost missed the SG booth!
From the corner of my eye I saw @radeo.. without thinking I kept walking. When my best friend told me we walked past their booth I ran back! I chatted with @radeo for a bit and my god.. She is the sweetest soul. Genuinely kind hearted and hilarious. She shook my hand, hugged me called me cute and I swoooned. Oh man. Sorry! I'm getting lost in this girls sweetness! I was very excited to see @porphyria full cosplay and all (she inspires me in so many ways- the lady who got me into cosplay!!) I met @squeak & @eon as well. ***I'm still unsure of who I met in the second picture.. (To my right, your left) if any one can tag her I'd greatly appreciate it! n_n***
These ladies were super awesome. They encouraged me to apply (little did they know I sent in my applications prior to this) .. And here I am today!Without these ladies words of encouragment who knows if I would have followed up with my application? Shot my first set with @sunshine... shot my debut set with @brooklyn .. I may have never met any of my wonderful friends like @sirius_ @circa @palette @pesky @marceline @bittersweet @nixie_ @nachturnal @_lavish @prudence_ .. so on and so forth. These ladies inspired me to follow my dreams. I've accomplished something I've wanted for so long!
I am so thankful for Suicidegirls. The friendships I have made with other hopefuls, SG's and members. The people I met at NYCC 2013. The girls I encourage to join and apply! I love this community so much and all the awesome people in it :)
