Anyway, went to Boston for a show. Booo. Circulatory System sounded like a Circulatory System cover band to me. I know it's a lot to ask, living up to an album with all regal shit and all tingly shit and bells and cavernousness and intricacy all fused together and whatnot and made to sound misleadingly lofi, but they just really didn't do it for me live--they just kind of romped through every song, and all of the tension and pacing and marvelous swells and implosions were reduced to some kind of pseudo-Nirvana loud/quiet dynamic. Plus there was this terrible hum in the low mids, and the cello was nowhere in the mix, and they ate up all the high end with their bizarre quadruple-ham-fisted cymbal crashing and consigned the organ/vox/guitar/etc to this obscenely muddy midrange fiasco. Their album still sounds okay though.
We left halfway through the main band. They kind of reminded me of white wine.
I've decided that I'm not going to any more shows unless theycost under $7 and unless there's a chance I'll get hurt.
Afterwards and for the next 26 hours me and the other one talked about the fall. She lives/works in boston which is honestly one of the last places on earth I want to be. bit of a dilemma.

I should do nothing but write that thing now but I have a feeling I"ll see some of you tomorrow night.
