This whole censorship thing has got me thinking. As much as I hate Bush and love to see people blaming him (or parts of his administration) for the recent removal of some pictures on SG, I'm not convinced things would be much different if someone else was holding the reigns in the white house (and I'm not entirely convinced that Bush calls all the shots anyway).
One reason I can see for things like this happening is that the moral "minority" isn't as much of a minority as we'd like to think. Why else would political parties pander to them so much if their vote didn't count?
If they're really the minority, maybe it's because a large part of the majority chooses not to vote or speak up when things like censorship happen. I guess in the case of porn some people would rather not publicly say "hey, I'm into that, give it back!".
I'll definitely be doing what I can to let them know I don't approve of people choosing for me what's acceptable and what's not. I thought part of being an adult was being able to make these decisions on your own, so it really pisses me off when someone I don't even know comes along and takes that away.
I've seen alot of the sets which have been taken down, and none of them come even close to being as offensive as a lot of other stuff on the net. I don't think that means the porn I find offensive should be taken down either. If it's between consenting adults and it's not accessible to minors, no harm done.
Personally, I find most of the news more offensive.
(I'm tired and haven't had my coffee yet. So I hope this made some sense)
