I woke up rather interestingly today.

Basically what happened was my mother (hysterically) called me to go outside because something was up with my old man. I couldn't understand most of it because she started to run down the stairs to go outside. So i got out of bed and put some shorts on quickly (I'm not running outside in my underwear for nothing).

When I got outside I saw a guy standing at the driver's door of his van, and my old man nowhere to be seen. So I start thinking "what the fuck is going on? Something is up, or else there wouldn't have been all that Hysteria earlier".

So I'm looking at this van thinking .. "He didn't put my old man in there and start beating him did he? That makes no sense". I go to the van and see that my old man is in the driver's seat, his hands around a hammer, which the owner of the van is holding.

So for the next minute I'm trying to convince them both to move away from each other. First I tried to get the guy to give me the hammer and move away. He didn't want to. So then I managed to persuade him to at least let me old man out of the car. He eventually did that and I sent my parents both inside (seriously ...... living here is like a mad house lately!)

What happened, how this situation came about, is this. They're building a house behind us and there's only dirt leading up to the house. for a while now, workers only show up when it's been pissing down rain and their part of the driveway is mud. They show up, reverse up the hill .... spinning wheels and sending mud everywhere .... then they leave .... a trail of mud from our driveway and all the way down the road as well.

Now, I've told my old man before, if it really bothers him that much, take photos and send them to the relevent places. Council, sheriff, whoever. Don't go and argue with them or tell them off or anything else like that. He's hopeless with people and has zero tact or diplomacy. But he never listens to me, because he thinks he knows better.

So what happened this morning was that he confronted this guy and tried to stop him from reversing up the dirt like he did the previous time. The guy must have left his van unattended for a minute because my old man got in and moved the car to the street. Obviously van guy was pissed off and grabbed a hammer and either tried, or did, hit my old man. I don't know what happened because I didn't see that part.

I'm just glad I didn't react first and start laying into the guy at his van. I've already been to court once this year and can do without another visit for assault this time. It's obvious that both my old man and this guy are as bad as each other so breaking it up was the best thing I could have done.

I have to admit though, part of me was hoping van guy would try and have a go at me with the hammer......

In other news (haha). Going to a party that promises to be quite good tonight. I need to unwind so it's perfect.

Also! I'm definitely moving as soon as possible in the new year!!!!!!! I gotta get out of here!!!!!!!!!!!
