No work today ... well sort of ... I should say no work that I'm getting paid for. My car was running weird for the last couple of days and blowing smoke whenever I started driving from a stop. I thought it might be a bad lot of petrol (it's happened before) or even a blown head.
Anyway .. I decided to go and put some more petrol in and drive to a friend's house to see what it could be, but I barely got halfway there before it started overheating .... and I mean oeverheating way off the gauge ... so I went to my parent's place instead so I could borrow a car from them and leave mine there (so i could check it out today).
By the time I got there it was steaming and making a whirring noise (weird noises are always bad
) So I'll find out today that it's either totally fucked, or it's something minor that I wasn't seeing before.
I'm seriously considering giving up cars and riding a bike from now on. Aside from all the costs like rego and repairs, petrol prices are really out of control lately. I seriously want to save money and owning a car is draining my wallet constantly.
PS - I got to see my brother's new husky puppy. I think it would be impossible for anyone not to fall in love with that little ball of fluff. It's also one of the best behaved pups I've ever seen.

Driving down to Wollongong seems to cost about 30 odd bucks in petrol - the train costs $4. Woo train!
I am workiing all weekend also - sucks, so have not accomplished much - it is the first nice weekend in forever here!
