I started a nightschool course doing photography this week. We had to explore our local enviroment and be more observant....

I expanded on that and went about 40-50kms from home to the cbd.

had a couple other subjects. 1, depict fireban. I got a mate to hook me up with the chief from the local firebrigade. I went down there this mornnig and got some shots. I wasnt terribly happy with the results. I think I need to work on working with actual people. I felt pretty awkward there. I didnt want to put anyone out and I had to be pushed along by my mate. As a result, I walked away with some photos that I wasnt a great deal impressed with. I've got one I dont mind and one I'll just use, but I know I could have done better. I've got 2 photos here I can use in conjunctin with the one or two from today. They were from a burnt out building.

The other subject was landscape. I ended up with one or two shots for that which were ok, but nothing mind blowing :S

I think its good having to work under some kind of pressure. Some kind of time frame to work with. Learning to work under that kind of situation would be quite helpful I guess. Instead of going at my own pace.....
