So things have been looking up lately.

I applied for a job today with Motorola. It's an electrical engineering position in the testing department of their mobile phone division, which is essentially my dream job. It's also located in Libertyville, a suburb of Chicago, so that is also exciting. Denver is the city in this country I'd like to live in the most, but Chicago is a close second. I don't have high hopes (yet) that I'll actually get the job, but it feels good to be doing some proactive about my employment situation.

I'm also starting to feel a lot more comfortable with myself. Lately I've been doing pretty much the same things I've been doing for the last couple of months, but I feel great about them.

I also tentatively have a date next weekend with a super cute, super interesting woman. I updated my okcupid profile a couple of weeks ago, not really expecting to get anything out of it. For whatever reason, that site is mostly useless in Omaha. I almost exclusively get messages from fat chicks and/or single moms, and they're generally no more creative than "hi, how are you?" But somehow I stumbled upon this chick, and she seems great. She responded to my message without even seeing my picture, which is really kind of flattering. Of course she did eventually look at my pictures, and she said I'm gorgeous.
