I'm sure my blog post last night didn't seem exceptionally inspirational to anyone else, but personally it lit a fucking fire under my ass. I feel so damn invigorated today. I want to grab the universe by the horns and skullfuck it. I'm starting my journey along the arc from where I've been to where I want to be. I'm done drifting through life - I'm now in full-on unabashed, unapologetic making-life-my-bitch mode.
Step one took place today - I sat down for a couple of hours and started writing down all of the things that I would like to accomplish and how I can accomplish them. Some of them will take several years, some of them I can get started on right now. I'm still going to need to refine and flesh out most of my goals, but often the most difficult part of getting something done is simply identifying it. The rest is commitment and planning.
Step two takes place tomorrow. I'm going to get in touch with the people at Lund Company and get the ball rolling on moving into Midtown Crossing. I don't care if I get a raise in November. Either way I can afford the expense, and I'm going to turn that place into a veritable containment of magnificence. If I can't have a great job for the time being then at least I can have a great apartment in which to have great times with great people.
Step three takes place over the next fourteen months. The world will witness the renaissance of Danny. I am going to come out the other side a well-oiled, physically and mentally robust machine. I'm going to learn new things, I'm going to meet new people, I'm going to be a better friend, I'm going to become an excellent cook, I'm going to get into peak physical shape, I'm going to kick ass at work and then find a challenging and satisfying new job, I'm going to lock down my finances, I'm going to transform my apartment into something amazing and, most of all, I'm going to take what I want from the world.
