Of course I like the band. I'm a bigger fan of spiritualized though.
Played Club Violaine in L.A. last night...people are sooo serious there-- didn't seem much different than San Diego.
I'm getting sicker of San Diego by the minute. Damn the sunshine!

Saw The Faint outside my practice space last night (the door to the venue is next to the exit of my building)...They really remind me of Depeche Mode with a harder/more techno edge, minus Dave Gahan, but with a much more "stylish" attitude about them.
Then I realized how much the image gets kids hooked. I don't get it. I guess I'm not cool enough.

it's not about the image at all for me, i just listen to their music, it makes me want to danse, i didn't even know what they looked like till i saw them on stage. they put on a great live show. everyone dancing, great vibe, great band

Oh, hooks are definately there. Their music is super energetic-- I just think the whole image bit makes the band that much more memorable/infectous.
Got my tickets to Field Day Festival (www.fielddayfest.com) in NY. Going to see the Sat show only-- kind of bummed 'cause I won't get to see The Roots though. But its cool 'cause now I get to chill in NYC that Sunday. "No sleep 'til/(dun-dun/dun-dunnnn)/Brooklyn!!! While on the topic of Brooklyn-- check out Calla over at www.arenarockrecordingco.com
