this weekend wasn't as lame and tv-oriented as i thought it would be.
*thursday - went to TIPA to do PR crisis managment. learned something new. left two days early with two partners in crime from work and got a "talking to" today by boss lady. oh well. she needs us and loves us.
*friday - start of weekend w/ fam in SA & grandma #1. chinese sea w/ dad, bro, & sis. that place is such a trip. it screams america even though it's "chinese". the highlight was when my dad made some random comment about knifing my brother in the skull. we all laughed so hard at everything from that point forward.
*saturday - went to atx on a whim to meet a woman my dad is kinda sorta seeing. she was so incredibly sweet. my dad, bro, & i got to her house around 11pm. some of her neighbors came over and she made quesadillas. she pushed the furniture aside, turned on some salsa music, and everyone danced. one of her neighbors is from cuba (he swam to the US) and he rolled some cigars. it was a lovely time. i ended up crashing on the couch and then we drove back to SA early in the morn
*sunday - grandma #2. went to see the SA symphony orchestra w/ my aunts. the conductor was this awesome young guy from s. korea. he had such enthusiasm as he took questions from audience members. the majestic is so gorgeous. it has to be one of the most beautiful theaters in the country. then ate on the river with my aunts. one of them is such a bitch. negative the whole time. (so your eyebrow is pierced? because everyone else was doing it? so you're going to school for anthropology? you know you can't make a career in that. archaeology in belize? psssh. everything you own will get stolen while you're there. etc etc). it made me really sad for her because she is so bitter about life. she seriously had a negative anecdote for every single thing we talked about. one more reason why i'm going to do whatever the fuck i want with my life. theeen my dad, bro, & i went to the movies and saw "wild hogs". it was cute. my dad used to have a motorcycle. i hope he gets one again.
*today - rain!!! i also discovered i left my govt book in SA so i am unable to study on the couch with scott right now. i have a test on wednesday... so we'll see how it goes...
scott's car died this morning. so now we both are semi-immoblie. i can't wait until may to move closer to town!
