A friend from high school that I haven't seen in almost two years is coming to visit me tonight. I'm not really sure how to describe our friendship, because sometimes it was awkward and weird. There was always something more waiting to be uncovered, though it never was. Twice he has shut me out completely and then returned. I think this time will be different, but what if it's not? What if I'm setting myself up for the exact same thing that happened a year and a half ago?

I don't know. I'm nervous and happy and excited and scared and kind of panicky.
