elated yet deflated at the same time is a very strange mix indeed,add into the mix hazy drunk and all in all its an odd feeling.Went to a poker club this evening with a friend and was expecting to be there till at least 3am with the hope of being up and very drunk..BUT best laid plans never go smooth..i was doing well , was up by alot but my mate was on another table and seemed to be drinking like a fish and no matter how much i tried to get him to pace himself be it with beer or the speed he was throwing money away unfortunatley fell on deaf ears.
Just before midnight a massive ruck kicks off on the table he's playing on,he'd spent all his cash and had borrowed 100 quid off another player and now had lost that too,dunno what exactly prompted the fisty cuffs but the bloke wanted his 100 quid back so all i could do was pay it for him and cash the rest of my chips so we could beat a hasty retreat.It was not the kind of place you want prove your macho,im rock hard,come on then,whos got the biggest balls dumbarse crap........so i get him out and stick him in a cab,beg/bribe the cabbie to take him home and wave goodbye as he goes.I decided to walk as i wanted to clear my head,im happy that i did well but im also kinda gutted that he's so badly down as i know how much he walked in with plus im abit pissed off that ive had to cut the evening short.The walk was good though,its not exactly a postcard scene on a friday night here but the sights made me smile
By the time i got home im just in a really chilled out mood.......strange
