I am soooooooooooooo tired. I needed this lazy day. I worked the last 9 days straight at both jobs, sometimes at both jobs on the same day. Sleeping in and reading for most of the day is joyous! I finished The Photographer, a graphic novel about a photog attached with a MSF group in Afghanistan, and today I am halfway through A Cruel Paradise: Journals...

It was good. The tour was a gong show but all in all - it went well. My first week of classes is shaping up nicely and feel great about my choice to return to school and Ontario.

Northern Thank you for being my cheerleader todayARRR!!!

The stress is peeling away today. I went to my appointment with the Student Services Counselor at St Lawrence College and a lot of answers were forthcoming.

1. OSAP - the kafuffle about my student loan is cleared up and I will be receiving money in September. This means I do not need to work like a maniac during the school to cover my bills...

Yay for OSAP!!

I went to university many years ago. I got sick and couldn't continue. Wish I could go back. But there's no way I could afford it, even just a single course. Tuition and books cost too much.

And I still owe thousands in student loans. Though thankfully, they had my doctor fill out some forms about me being sick and so they don't bother trying to collect the money.

Good luck with school!

Yesterday, I went for a simple haircut. Trim the ends and take care of the bang situation. I was chatting with Monique and trying to find out how long my hair is now and the length of my ponytail. As a former wearer of the rocking pixie cut or fohawk style, this current coif is a dramatic change. My ponytail is at 3" and I...

My mood bounces between incredibly horny and just exhausted from the heat. Tis an odd combination
inkedshogun:
no such luck yet :/ but after talking with my sisters she doesn't really mind so i dont think im going to do it
northern:
The heat is oppressive. I don't do well in the heat. I enjoy winter, spring and fall, but not summer. Mind you, if I had air conditioning, maybe summer wouldn't be so bad.

Walking on the street, I look like a plain and unassuming woman. Most are shocked to learn that I have tattoos and will be getting an additional two in the next year (including one on my skull when I do the Cancer Head Shave). SG lets me know that it is alright to love my ink and many others view themselves as a canvas as...

How come?
losty:
Cornwall, Ontario.

I want a taste of the lifestyle. I lived in Saskatchewan, Yukon, Quebec, New Brunswick and every part of Ontario. I was thinking about post-school life and where I want to go. It'll be near impossible to move back to my beloved Yukon. I thought about it and I'm looking into all the communities in NL that have medical laboratory facilities. This is three to four years away but I really like to research.

Dear Ontario Government,

You sent me a letter stating that I would receive a HST cheque. Where the hell is my $300?

I'm a tired, little panda. Creating a new and stable lifestyle is much more tiring than I anticpated.

I work at a job that I enjoy albeit not enough hours. My meds and counselling are going well. I am excited about school in the fall. New career, new life, new outlook.

As a bonus, the wiener and I spoon during nap time.

I'm convinced that the best part of my life is Olive, my dachshund.

Her words of wisdom are: barkity, barkity, bark, lick, lick, lick, lick.
