Humility and modesty have their time and place. surreal There is a time for beginnings love
and a time for endings frown blackeyed

Meanwhile, I am thinking a lot abt Barack Obama.

Most national polls do not take the time to poll people who actually vote in the primaries, and statistically, primary voters are the people who tend to elect the party candidates and the president (voter fraud notwithstanding, of course).

Going back many years, Nixon was the experienced candidate, but Kennedy won. Carter beat Ford. Reagan beat Carter. King George I was one exception. But Clinton beat King George and Bob Dole. And Resident W beat AL gore who people *think* they are so hot for now??

People in the OBAMA campaign point out how in the Polls, the same people who say Hilary is in the lead say that only Barack can beat each of the republicans in paired matchups. Curious

Also, pew polls of primary voters have Barack and HIL in a statistical dead heat with primary ~ a 5 pt dif.

The main criticisms of Barack are that people don't know yet what his specific policies are, and they don't know if he is "strong enough" and 'experienced" enough, though he points out that the wrong experience can have devastating consequences, as in the plans of Dick Cheney, who is experienced.

People also worry Barack is too nice and maybe more style than substance.

Today I am thinking about how Barack and Michelle were on television in 2005 and 2006 saying he would not run for president. Apparently they were against it at one time.

The bottom line is that Barack did not just decide to run because of personal ambition, like HIL. miao!!
He was BEGGED and WOOed to the point of no return by very, very powerful people. Like George Soros, according to the NYTimes, dec 5, 2006.

We can't underestimate his support.

My biggest fear?

RUDY GUILIANI.

I listened to Nader one night on the radio
on WPRB out of Princeton when he ran,
and I thought how could you not want him
while other runners had only "God, Guns, and Gays"
to stand upon Nader brought 20 or so issues to the party
but looking back I feel he just didn't want to lead maybe he
saw the hill wasn't worth the climb.
Obama has a lot of weight on his back lets hope he goes
the distance to the end, who would be a good vice for him ?
you look back and the 2nd guy was never in the news unless
he screwed up like a spelling bee in Trenton
I've never seen a vice( Cheney) with so much power
makes you ask - who is really calling the shots at the White House
surreal surreal surreal
