I waited my whole life and now it finally happened: I played spin the bottle!!!!!

Yes, I am older than dirt and just this week i finally got to play spin the bottle. It all happened when i went to check out the GIRL scene at LBC where DAVEN works on thursday nights. SHe is quite the lovely person and she is a vision to behold when dancing. Mysterious Salome was there and so many lovely gals, not to mention a few brave men btw, go see the set of ...Salome + Fatality and tell the staff why they made a mistake in delaying it~!

I kissed to my heart's content.

Tonight, it is live band karaoke at piece pizzeria and i said i'd help Apexxx with orders
bc once a waitress, always a waitress, even if i am such an airhead abt this sort of thing

the only time i tried to do live band karaoke it was at Arlene's grocery and I had the band's song list, which SUCKED
and I had memorized Heart's "crazy on you" as one of the least offensive to do. I practiced for a kid who fell off the bed laughing. nevermind, i was determined.

then i got there and there was a line out the door, and there were two broads fighting and pulling hair, bc one of them had signed up for a song that the other had just been abt to pick & she felt it was HERS...
and well, that was the biggest buzzkill

needless to say, it became clear that the karaoke circuit in NYC held some people who felt very very serious abt their craft. ah hem.

so tonight will be interesting. chicago always seems more low key and down to earth.
will the common man/woman have a chance to drunkenly belt out Van Halen's "jump"
or
will it be semi-professionals on display to make the rest of us even more sure that we will never, ever try our hand at karaoke??
