I just saw a movie called 'September Tapes'. Its a movie that's about a documentary, so that in itself makes it confusing. The cast/crew did such a great job into convincing the viewer that it is a documentary though. Its also really good because there really isn't a political opinion trying to be expressed. Its horrible though because the script is so corny and in the end you find out that you watched a movie and not a documentary. Its great because it was actually filmed in Afghanistan though. flip-flop. flip-flop.

I really enjoyed it though and am glad I saw it. Over the past few years or so, I've been trying to get myself in the mentality of how good we really have it in this country. We don't have to worry about being attacked by some guy with an AK-47 in the middle of the day, on some random street. Yes we do! It just doesn't happen that frequently, so therefore, its something you'd never think of. The fact that both children and adults live daily in the midst of car bombs and daily shootings in some countries makes me feel ignorant because I've never had to deal with that type of lifestyle.

The instant I heard Bush say "Sadaam is more of a threat than Osama" I knew that I was being lied to and that any crazy theory I heard that was about September 11, didn't sound so crazy now. Why is this guy still alive?

This movie did an excellent job in portraying how Americans are percieved in Afghanistan and perhaps a majority of the world. It was also an excellent war movie because it felt like you were right there in the action.

Now I will bitch about something else kinda sorta related. System of a down. Untill a couple of months ago, I had them on my list (of about three) of bands I wanted to see. Not anymore. I refuse to give them any more money and I can no longer listen to their cd's. I just think they've gone the way of the sell-outs. They are affiliated with every type of message they bitch about in their songs. I'm not trying to influence anyone else, but I've had enough of them.

No worries. It was actually only weeks ago, not months. It took me awhile to respond to yours...I understand how that goes. smile

System of a Down... I love the band musically even now, but I just see them as another whining college student Rage Against the Machine. Great musicianship, redundant protesting.
