I can't believe that I am about to say this, but I am going to miss this stupid rock of an island. I will miss the Army, this island and the people here. Now I won't miss everything about those three things, but I will miss some of it. I'm sure the fact that I have developed quite the crush on a guy doesn't help the matter. It's funny, considering about a year ago he was trying to talk to me. Of course, I was judgemental and just figured he was a stupid meat head who just wanted in my pants. Since we have the same friends we have hung out before, but the last few weeks we've been spending a lot of time together. I really don't know why I'm doing this to myself. I leave in 10 days! Sometimes I hate being a girl.
Oh, and I've had my clothes in the dryer here in the barracks for 2 hours, and they are still not even close to being dry...grrrr

I got out of the Army in 2007 and it was a difficult adjustment but don't let anyone fill your head with nonsense. Some people do get out and love rejoining the civilian lifestyle, some people get out and choose to reenlist. You'll blaze your own path and I'm sure you will rock the fuck out of it! Good luck girl!

Thank you NiKo!! Yeah I doubt I could even come back in (or stay in if I had wanted to) because my shoulder is really messed up. I didn't join the Army straight out of high school so I know what the "real world" is like. I'm just crazy excited!
