Wow, so is it just me or are things reeaaalllly crazy lately?

Well thanks to everyone for suggesting a book. I realized it was a really good idea. I was at Barnes n noble today and remembered that i always look for new books to read and get overwhelmed because there's so many and i don't know what to pick. So now i have a reading list for awhile.

So, today my heart was all a flutter because i ran across the giving tree. I really really love that book.

I read it again at the book store. What a great story. The tree and the little boy start out together, and she gives him a swing. And when he gets older he carves his intials. she Gives him wood to build his house for his family, he keeps coming back and she keeps giving part of herself to him, and one day when he's really old he comes back and she's just a stump.

He's too old to build anything and his knees are too tired to stand, and she has no wood left to give so she offers him a seat....the only thing she has left to give and he sits down. And in the end the end up back where they started. ahhhh love

It's funny because as much as I talk smack about that whole love thing, deep down i'm just a big ol' softy blush

It's nice to be reminded of that sometimes.

I'm going to give it to my daughter for christmas this year.

Well friends, i hope all is well and wish fantastic holidays!

I think thats a fantastic book for a kid. My other faveorites are The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats and The Phantom Tollbooth.

Oh, and Lizard Music! Thats a great one. Seriously, anything by D. Manus Pinkwater.

Hope all is well,

It's definitely just you: things are always really crazy; when things seem like they aren't you aren't paying close enough attention wink

I believe in trying everything twice. The first time could be a fluke.
