Right, this post, it's all about the benjamins.

I need a new mobile phone, my pay-as-you-go one is playing up, and it's turning out to be expensive. It's contract time. Unfortunately there's a big problem with mobile phones here in the states, and it's called Verizon. Now of all the networks, Verizon have by far the best reception, and the best technology, but they're evil...

Ohhhh I think I heard about that eartquake... unless it was a dream that I had.... which is quite possible!

Hahaha.. yeah, he's a good boy... but I've got like, 12 years until then! Well.. no, 11 years
melladoree:
yeah what the deal. I move from SLO and now there are earthquakes?

If you think that verizon is the devil with the cell phones heres one for you.... When I moved I decieded to set up a land line for energencies only (ie 911, pizza, etc), so with out long distance VERIZON is going to charge me $45 a month just or my phone! I am in shock! I dont think that I need an emergency phone that badly!

AND I have a Samsung and it is still working after 2 years! Have not even bought a new battery! SO if you have to settle I would go it one of them!

So the Beastie Boys were very good - far from past it I'm pleased to say. Ok, they screwed up the odd lyric, but it was a damn good show all round, and the crowd blew up for Sabotage in the final encore.

Shopping in SF on Saturday, including Amoeba Music.

My current music tips:
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists - The Tyranny of Distance....

When was the last time you were given a 'backy' on someone's bike? I bet you were more like 15 than 27 when it happened? Add enough alcohol however, and suddenly it becomes a viable mode of transport once again.

After a night downtown, my workmate Rich and I couln't be arsed to walk a mile and a half home, so we went into work...

I have been swallowed whole by work. My waking existence is in a darkened cubicle in front of my two monitors. New tasks arrive on my schedule faster than I can complete them. This is the crunch to hit beta, and it's not going to happen.

I was spat out briefly on Sunday to say hello to those I know, and see that new (apparently...

leamington spa? do you know about this?
melladoree:
yeah you are right on all accounts!

And yes I did hear that about seth, tell him that I (Angel) said hello sometime. His brother (Dave) was my boyfriend before I left SLO. He is the one that stopped talking to me because I was leaving, could not handle it (falling in love and me leaving), even disconnected his phone. It really sucked, I miss him alot, especially since I am back in CA.... But what can you do.... I am going to SLO here in a few weeks, dont know if I will be able to make it to McCarthies, I am still a bit too broken hearted to be around ex related stuff.....

just thought I'd better check in to let y'all know I'm still here. Work's been super busy this week, so there's not much to tell.

Went out and got trashed on thursday night. Got tickets for the Beastie Boys up in SF next month. That's about it.

So, due to my life not being very newsworthy at the moment, I got this from despairfactor's...

3 questions:

1) what do you like and dislike about living in san luis obispo?
2) what other cities have you lived in?
3) what did you have for dinner last night?

In honour of Drew from work leaving, we made his last poker game a $200 buy-in. The first three places got paid - 800, 400, 200. I, of course came fourth. I'm short stacked so I go all in. I get two callers, and make a set on the flop. It's all good. Then Drew catches his flush on the river. That burned.

It was...

You gotta love the 12 hour workdays. That's where it's at right now.

...and yet, it doesn't really bother me. Over the last year or so, I have achieved some New Level Of Chill (TM). Stuff just doesn't seem to stress me anymore.

...unless I want to get stressed on purpose, for fun like.

melladoree:
new level of chill huh, sounds interesting! I just dont give a flying fuck, that works great.... Most of the time stressing is not going to do you any good. Like today my work truck kept dying when I would make a complete stop, all I did was laugh about it, what else was I gonna do....
sneakypie:
sweet! ;D

Hope Of The State's "The Lost Riots" is one of the best albums I've heard in a long time. And that's saying something 'cos I've heard a lot of good stuff recently.
despairfactor:
I think I sat somewhere in the middle, but I remember it was the most AMAZING rollarcoaster ever. I stood in line for like, 2 hrs, and the ride was only 13.5 seconds.. hahaha! Good times!

I was going to bitch about having to work this weekend. But then I heard from one of my ex-workmates - his schoolfriend (who I met a couple of times) and his wife just lost their baby.

Take note: When there's actually something worth being pissed about, life will let you know.

I have given up smoking. Again.
melladoree:
oh no I want that BUT from that cetain someone, not just anyone
despairfactor:
It is actually fading to red now... It's weird!
Good luck on the quitting smoking! It seems hard!

Everyone I know here is out of town untill after this weekend, and I'll be going into work. so I'll be bored. Feel free to tell me exciting and interesting things.

I'm seriously lacking in certain departments recently. I require sex*, and decent long conversation. Let me know if you can help out any wink

*to be honest though, I can probably cope in this respect.
melladoree:
sex and long conversation, damn I moved from SLO too soon wink

So I have the apartment, I have my cats, I have electricity and GAS! They came today while my mom was there dropping off the cats. When the movers arrive with my hopefully un-skeved household items, I will be set!!! Well actually I do need to work on the Cable and internet side of it but I think I am doing pretty good for only being in town for such little time!
