It's stupid how fucking happy I am that The Lord of the Rings swept the Oscars.
Add that to the fact that Sofia Coppola won Best Original Screenplay for Lost in Translation and you have two of my three favourite films of last year represented (and considering that Kill Bill has another Volume due out ASAP, those are numbers I can live with).
Incidentally, if anyone is interested in making sense of my convoluted reasoning on why I think LotR is one of the best movies ever made, they should check this long-winded piece out.
