Ok, long time, no update.

Summer has been nice. With no classes, I've gotten alot of reading done. Tara dn I discovered the Discworld novels, and they have been a source of much amusement. I love good parodies of scifi/fantasy novels and gaming/fan subculture generally. The only time I get bothered by it is when it's from people who obvisously don't know what they're talking about. Pratchett, however, knows what he's making fun of, and and writes as if he really loves the genre and all its peculiarities.

I've been painting miniature, as mentioned in a previous entry. I finally finished the first two, so I'm posting the images for evaluation. Have a look:





Other than that, I've let myself get introverted. I need that. I would like to be exploring Vancouver's culture, looking for more nerdy types, making new friends, that sort of thing. Money's been short since we're living off of my summer loans, but my parents are helping us out, and we have enough to get the bills paid, just not much else. Well, VCon is in Octoboer, and we're saving our money for that.
