Since my last update, I had what I suppose constitutes a major hardware failure. My motherboard seems FUBAR. None of my peripherals work, no input, no output. It starts up, but the monitor stays blank, and keyboard and mouse lose power (optical mice are nice for this because there's an obvious sign), and nothing happens. Consequently, I'm using Tara's computer for now. My hope is that since it was just the motherboard, the hard drive is still good, but I don't think I'll get a chance to hook it up to Ed's computer to test it until the weekend. Troubleshooter is gathering intel on what kind of motherboard I ought to get, and once that's been purchased, I'll have to install it into the case (I'm crossing the bridge when I come to it). At least this happened when I'm not in school, so I have the time to work on it and no papers are due. If my hard drive is corrupted, I will lose a bunch of data, but nothing that needs to be turned in, and I have hard copies of papers that I've written. The papers would have been backed up if they were yet to be turned in, but I had planned to institute the new backup system next term since I didn't think of it until the term was done.
My grandmother called on my birthday, but my mum has been working nights, so she hasn't. She called once, but we were watching Doctor Who at Courtney's, so I missed the call. She'll call later, I'm sure.
Nothing more to report. My online status is bound to be erratic since I'm on Tara's PC, but I don't talk to people online much anyway.

I got the hookup, yo!
Sorry to hear about your computer troubles...I feel ya.
