Things have been hectic lately. There's been running around with a new girlperson, taking care of said girlperson while sick, and somehow trying to go to class and get some work done. Thankfully, Tulane isn't as hard as UBC, and I have the laptop so I can work anywhere. Otherwise, this weekend would have been far worse.

I've barely been online except for in class the last couple of days. Tomorrow will likely be more of the same but with hanging out here instead of elsewhere. Not that there's a great deal I need to tend to online.

Looks like we're set to become the latest in the line of Panola house tenants. Next year, I should be teaching a class, so while my pay will stay the same, they take out taxes, so I'll actually make less. We'll be able to save some by moving into Panola with John, and Tara will not have to sacrifice any studio space; she just won't gain any. There's more to that situation than meets the eye, but I don't want to get into it. Don't want to jinx things by talking about it too much.

It's not that there isn't news. It's just not the kind of news I tend to go into on lj. I am looking forward to finishing out this semester so I can get to work on my qualifying papers and dissertation. I'd also love to get official confirmation on if I'll be teaching next year, and if so, what I'll be teaching. Will post when it becomes relevant.
