I felt kinda bad tonight, but I think it's partly the stress of starting school. I haven't had to use my brain as much, or in the way I normally do for class. I wrote a short paper for my Hobbes class, read some Descartes for phil of mind, then get through the last chunk of reading for the philosophical logic class.

I also managed to work out a way to use ImgBurn in emulation. That was my last real windows dependency since I do burn the occasional PSX game and have found them in a number of formats, some Linux can handle, some it can't. So, now that question is whether to put Linux on my laptop as well. My first thought was putting Ubuntu on it, and I tested that livecd last night. It worked as well as I expected, and I've already done a good bit of reading on putting Ubuntu on my laptop model. However, earlier today, I thought of trying out the MandrivaOne livecd that I couldn't get to work on the desktop. I'm assuming the problems I had with that were video card-related (since the problems I had with the Ubuntu livecd were), I never tested it with the boot options I used for Ubuntu because it was my first choice. I only tried it because I had issues with Ubuntu, but once I got Ubuntu working, I just forgot about it. I think I'm going to test that livecd tonight. Even if I install it eventually, I can change to Ubuntu if I run into too many problems.

It's fucking cold here, by the way. Well, January is supposed to be the coldest month here.
