I intended to get more work done yesterday while we were in Lafayette, but no such luck. TV is a terrible distraction, just in that it creates a bad environment for me and studying. I wasn't even watching it, nor did I want to watch what was on. It just disrupted my focus.
However, the good news is that I got a good bit done when we got back from Robin's today. I had intended to work all day, but instead we got invited over to Robin's new place for burgers, which were good. We came home early enough for me to get some things read. I could have done more, but slacked off a bit.
Got to see American Psycho today. I was sufficiently impressed with it to want to read the book.
I also ordered a new laptop case today. The one my mother got me is fine, but I need to bring too much crap to school, so I really needed a backpack for the laptop in addition to the satchel I normally carry. Until it comes in I'm using Tara's old backpack for the laptop so I'll feel a bit more slackful. Lugging around a giant laptop case just made me feel too much like I was doing something important. I like being able to walk with a hands-free relaxed gait, as if I don't give a shit where I'm going or when I get there. When carrying that bag, I cared because I wanted to set the fucker down and rest my shoulder. I know I think about stuff like this too much, and I don't care.
I think I'm going to go continue my reread of Cosmic Trigger, Volume 2. Good night.

it gets released in theatres today.
I have a friend who saw it already and said that it is even better than ong-bak was because they put more effort into the story line.
can't wait til I get to see it tonight.
