Since I don't have school tomorrow, I decided to make sacred our new tobacco water pipe for tobacco use only. I like it...a good bit. The clear glass is cool, and it looks sort of like a hurricane lantern.

Today was my second day of work, and it went equally well. No work until Friday, but classes start Wednesday. I ordered the last of the books I need, and that set me back another hundred bucks.

I also got V for Vendetta at Barnes and Noble yesterday. I'm in the middle of it now, and I like it just as much as I thought I would. Film strikes me as an excellent medium, but translating a book into film leaves a good bit out. One seems to have more capability for subtleties in print, because the stimuli remains before you, it does not move just slow enough to take advantage of persistence of vision. Subtleties in film must have a different expression than subtleties in print. I don't want to make it sound like I really like one better, but I do think I like the novel version of V better than the film.

Knowing people in the hospital for more than a week really gets me worried. Maybe just an imprint from my past, but doctors now scare me a good bit, especially when someone's been in their hands for a while.
