Well, after an incredibly long time of having birds sing hymns to my bonny face, I decided to change the headline. I was going to just copy over my lj bio, but I decided the snazzy quote would be nicer.

Things have been going well so far. I might have a job on campus soon. I'm hoping to keep it to around ten hours so I have enough time to devote to my classes, but if it gets too rough, I can easily quit the job because my fellowship at least covers our bills. The extra money will help, though. Unfortunately, it'll be a little bit in coming, as in not until classes start at the end of August.

Still looking forward to Dragon Con. My bass should come in on Wednesday, my amp tomorrow. After that, I can get some practice in on my own time. My first practice with the rest of the band is Saturday. I'm still reading through tabs and scale diagrams (and explanations of how to read them), but it's all too hard to hold in my head without the instrument in my hand. Kung Fu was the same way. I could read the form description in the manual, but until I worked through it and practiced it, it didn't make much sense.
